Why do we need to learn science?

Why do we need to learn to measure?  How can we solve problems?  What are practical (or impractical) reasons to understand forces and acceleration?

Everyday in a new year

What did you do at school today?  The proverbial question with the predictable answer of "I don't know."  Let's answer that question here.

School starts for teachers tomorrow.  We meet our new principal, meet new teachers and find out what this year will bring.  And, we will have Open House later on in the day where we get to meet our new students and their families.
